ince the beginning of 2023, Coverflex occupies the 1st place in the ranking Best Workplaces 2023 in the category of companies with 51-100 employees in Portugal. Now, Great Place To Work® (GPTW®) recognised us as one of the best places to work in Europe. How did we accomplish this? By building a culture of flexibility, diversity and well-being. By demonstrating that it is possible to build an incredible team, which achieves great results working 100% remotely. By investing in what matters: our people. By striving to create a community of Coverflexers who love what they do, where they do it and who they do it with!
The Great Place To Work® ranking
The GPTW® ranking features 150 European organisations that have created and nurtured a great workplace for employees, and the list of companies in the GPTW® ranking includes many Portuguese subsidiaries of multinational companies.
To be included on the Best Workplaces in Europe list, companies must be recognised in one or more national GPTW® Affiliate rankings. In 2023, the number of organisations analysed increased by 12% compared to last year, reaching a total of more than 3,000 companies in Europe: these companies scored, on average, 11 percentage points higher (90%) than those awarded in the various national rankings (79%).
How does the selection process work?
The selection process is very straightforward, but each step takes some time:
- Throughout the year, GPTW® identifies organisations that employees think are good places to work, through the Trust Index® questionnaire;
- Companies that meet the criteria receive the Certified™ seal and become eligible for the Best Workplaces™ ranking. This means that these companies have been assessed as excellent when it comes to working environment and are considered to be among the best places to work;
- Companies recognised as Certified™ undergo an in-depth inspection of their people management practices and policies.
Only companies that have a high level of trust from their team and follow best practices according to the GPTW® methodology make it into the ranking. The study that led to this ranking involved 60,000 employees and over 200 companies. During the study, more than 1,000 practices of the assessed organisations were analysed.
Coverflex is the 15th best place to work in Europe among medium-sized companies
Each category features 50 companies, that is, the top 50 companies that GPTW® considers are the best to work for in Europe, selected from thousands of applicants. Coverflex ranked 15th in the category of medium-sized companies (50-499 employees).
It fills us with pride to see that our corporate culture has once again been rewarded by a renowned external organisation. At Coverflex we have a fully remote working model and the undisputable rule of extreme employee obsession: we do what we do with, for, and because of our people, and we meet twice a year in company-wide retreats where we all work and party together.
The recognition we received from GPTW® fills us with joy and satisfaction, because it means that our mission is on the right track. We are not planning to stop here and we are already preparing for 2024, which - we foresee - will be full of new challenges!
